You may ask? What is menopause and when will I know if I’m in Menopause?
What is Menopause?
Menopause is a condition that happens naturally in women and is that point in a woman’s life when her menstruation permanently ends. This is because the ovaries gradually decrease the estrogen that is produced which, as a result, stops forming eggs and sex hormones that are necessary to the female’s reproduction system. Since this estrogen stimulates the lining of the uterus and is essential to egg delivery, when it becomes less and less, so then, does the menstruation---until it eventually stops. Progesterone also becomes deficient and hormone-induced changes in a woman’s body begin.
When will I know if I’m in menopause?
There are several types of menopause and symptoms experienced by all are almost always the same. Experience of those symptoms, however, depends upon the overall health, diet and nutrition, exercise, and mental thinking of a person.
1. Premature menopause will be experienced because of some types of surgeries as well as drug therapies or radiation and from some types of immune system attacks on the body.
2. Surgical menopause by removal of both ovaries (with or without a hysterectomy).
3. Natural menopause, when a woman’s body just stops ovulating. If you are between the age of 40 and 55, and are not one of those in the premature menopause or surgical menopause group, you are probably going into menopause if you have experienced some or all of the following symptoms.
